In 1995, a young woman named Sophie Hartley stood by the shoreline with nothing but a dream, a handful of sketches, and an unwavering love for effortless, coastal style. With a few handmade displays and a vision to bring timeless fashion to her community, she opened the doors to what would become Hartley Boutique.

What started as a small seaside boutique soon grew into something much greater — a place where women could find comfort, beauty, and confidence in clothing that felt as natural as the ocean breeze.

For Sophie, style was never about following trends. It was about creating pieces that live with you — versatile, elegant, and built to last. Every garment was chosen with care, every detail thoughtfully considered, every customer treated like family.

Over the past 30 years, Hartley Boutique has become more than just a store. It has become a reflection of Sophie’s belief that fashion should feel effortless, natural, and true to the woman who wears it.

Today, at 62 years old, Sophie still brings the same warmth and dedication to Hartley Boutique that she did on the very first day. From the fabrics we select to the way we welcome every guest, that spirit continues to shine in everything we do.

Three decades later, the heart of Hartley Boutique remains unchanged:
